Is our mail server dangerous? Print

Update - 17 June 6 AM:
Google reviewed our webmail system again today and once again decided that it was OK.  The most frustrating part of this is that we only receive standard responses to our requests for review, so although we adhere to the guidelines as presented, it's clearly possible that this could happen again.  If it should happen again, we apologise in advance.  We share in your frustration.

Update - 16 June 9 PM:
Google have again flagged part of our webmail system as deceptive. It's still not dangerous and the site content has not been modified.  Why Google have taken this action is a complete mystery, so once again we have asked for their review.  We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Update - 15 June, 10 AM:
Google reviewed our server today and agreed that it wasn't malicious after all.  We apologise again for any inconvenience caused by this problem which was entirely outside our control.

Original article - 14 June, 10 AM:
We were made aware earlier today that Google have flagged our webmail service as a dangerous site.  The details given to us indicate that Google think that a login page that asks for an email address and password amounts to "deceptive activity".  We're note sure how else a login page should work! Undecided

In response to the report from Google, we conducted an audit of the email server's web site content that drives the Webmail system, and we found no evidence of any malicious content there.  In short, we're not sure why they have flagged our site as bad.

We have requested that Google review their decision as soon as possible, but that can take 72 hours and the outcome is uncertain.  In the meantime, we apologise for the inconvenience and ask for your understanding as this issue is outside our control.

While we attempt to resolve this issue, please be assured that we are confident that this is a false report and that it's safe to proceed to webmail.  If you remain concerned however, email software on your computer or devices will not generate this same false report.  If you need a hand setting this up, or want advice on this issue, please call us on 1300 132351.
